The Greatest Fear: Does Filling Cause Blindness?
Let's be honest: Yes, it can. But this risk is as rare as a plane crash.
- How is it possible? If the filler is injected at high pressure into an artery (especially in the nose or glabella area) and the filler reaches the eye vessel with reverse flow, the retina cannot be nourished and blindness occurs.
- What are the Precautions? This risk is high in hands that are not familiar with the anatomy. Medlook physicians never use needles in risky areas (around the eyes, nose, middle of the eyebrows), and never use needles with blunt tips. Cannula to use it. Common Complication: Vascular Occlusion (Occlusion)
If the filler is given in such a way that it presses on a vessel rather than into it, blood flow slows down. This is called “occlusion”.

It is illegal and life-threatening to perform a liquid facelift in “Beauty Salons” or “Homes”. Why?
- No Anatomy Knowledge: Someone who does not know where the vein runs is like “Walking in a Minefield”.
- No Melting Enzyme: When there is a problem (blocked vein), the hairdresser or unauthorized center does not have Hyaluronidase. By the time you get to the hospital, tissue loss (necrosis) can begin.
