What Causes Pillow Face?
It is an anatomical mistake to inflate the face instead of stretching it. There are 3 main causes of this syndrome:
- Wrong Product Selection: Not every filling can be applied everywhere. Cheap fillers with a very high water retention capacity (hydrophilic) swell over time, causing edema on the face.
- Wrong Layer The filling should be done over the bone (deep) to hang the face up. If it is done under the skin (on the surface), it weighs down and bulges outward while hanging down the face.
- Overdose (Blindness): The patient's insistence “Let it be a little fuller” and the physician's submission to this. The volume capacity of the face is limited (max. 1-2 ml for cheekbones). When more is given, the filling overflows under the eyes and shrinks the eyes.
The Formula for a Natural Look: Vector Lift

What to Do If Your Face Already Looks “Structured”?
Sometimes our patients come to us with faulty procedures performed in other clinics. His face is swollen, his facial expressions have disappeared... Is there a solution?
- Hyaluronidase (Filler Dissolution): If you have hyaluronic acid fillers, you are lucky. With a special enzyme (Hyaluronidase), we can dissolve that filler within 24 hours and return your face to its former state (“Factory Reset”).
- Waiting Process: If it is a permanent or semi-permanent (Crystal/Smart) filling, it cannot be dissolved. In this case, we can ensure that the filling is metabolized faster with radio frequency devices (Golden Needle).
