This both reshapes the "cupid's bow" (the two distinct peaks on the upper lip) and redefines the distance between the base of the nose and the top of the lips.

Lip lift is often confused with lip augmentation, but these two aesthetic interventions are quite different from each other. While lip augmentation involves thickening the lips using various fillers, lip lift procedure shortens the lip-nose distance and provides a more prominent and fuller lip appearance.

The healing process of lip lift surgery usually takes 5-7 days. It is normal to see some swelling in the lip within the first 72 hours. Stitches are usually removed after 5 days and patients can return to their normal lives after this process.
